Dental cleaning involves scaling and polishing of the teeth. This is available for both cats and dogs. This procedure is performed under general anesthesia, therefore, we do require some form of blood work prior, to detect any underlying disease that may pose a risk under anesthesia.
Dental disease presents differently in dogs and cats, and often times goes unnoticed until dental disease is more advanced.
Maintaining the health of your pets mouth is very important. Brushing your dogs/cats teeth is the most effective method for good dental hygiene; brush using a toothbrush and Doggy toothpaste, once daily or at least four times per week.
DENTAL DISEASE IS PAINFUL AND CAN LEAD TO MORE SERIOUS HEALTH PROBLEMS IF IGNORED.
